Ok so I'm new here and got the link from RSC. This is awesome, there are so many different ways people have done things, I've already got some new ones.

Well here is my rig. A Hyperstimulator Clubman kit, that we brought unpainted, with a G25 wheel bolted on. The shifter probably isn't in the most desirable place but it does the job also the pedals required a bit of reworking but it was well worth it!!! I have a screen with rdisplay running and a DIY button box type thing for the steering wheel. I'm running rFactor as you probably can see.

I know its nothing compared to some of the other systems out there but hey it's a start maybe I can work towards one of them!

    Cheers,
    Michael

    Looks great!!

What exactly did you use to make the second dashboard-screen?
What software and hardware did you use? (Is the screen connected to the same video card?)

Does this second screen work only with rfactor or also with other games?

I'm also looking for a second screen sollution....

    Thnx!

That is already an impressive racing setup mate. I really like the second screen setup you have. Please tell us more about it. Also nice what you did to your G25 wheel!  Grin

I'm glad you like the site and hopefully you'll get many ideas here to enhance your own setup even further! Welcome to TWIP!  smile

I almost forgot, that carpet is a classic! Man that takes me back! :D

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest. The screen is actually one that my dad (I'm only 14) pulled out of a car that he brought in from Japan (I live in New Zealand). The unit is in the first picture, and then all of the uneccessary stuff I managed to pull off, which took a while, in the second, as you can see, a massive wire mass made for travelling the length of the car, what a mess!!! I have attached it to the s-video port on my graphics card, a 8500 GT, the same one that I use for my main monitor. The program running as mentioned before is rDisplay, so is only compatiable with rFactor.

Yeah the carpet does go back a while!!!

    Cheers,
    Michael

That's exactly what I wanted to know! You use a regular PAL or NSTC signal to connect the second screen.
I'll have a look at rDisplay (and at RFactor Grin because I normally play other games)

    Grtz,
    M
