IS there anyway to change the order of mny devices?
May 13, 2014, 03:59:14 AM
argh, i have six devices plugged in.

Hi Lei, SimBin games can detect a maximum of 3 devices. The devices should be all recognised as the first 3 devices in Windows. That's my understanding.

Does GTLegends have a limit on us devices? Fired it up again and I cant get it to recognize my csp pedals with my t500 wheel.

Apparently he launched into an attack on ISR's site and Youtube and later removed his comments to cover up. Normal for darin.

Also also unsurprisingly, Darin Gangi had another of his online meltdowns! HAHAHAHAAA!!!!! Internet narcissism at it's most entertaining!

So I got all the fixtures and the quadrant spacers from Jeffrey. Now I have got the shapes cut out (after sticking all the A4 tiled shjeets together) I now need to buy the wood. I will post some pictures when I have anything worth photographing.

My Wife is planning on painting it for me. So I either want Hamilton's McLaren or Mansell's Williams. Probably the FW14 Wink Or I may have to have it painted Mahogony to comply with any hidden clauses in the WAF agreement Wink

Yes mate, all correct now thanks.
I'm pretty thick when it comes to woodwork, I'm an IT Systems Administrator, so crap with most things Wink
I see that all holes marked "A" are drilled right through, and I gather a hole is drilled from the wood edge upto that point, as marked on the plans too?

This will end up a Homer Simpson job I'm sure!

    Yes.

If you don't have a doweling jig,  I can provide some instructions for making a suitable jig to drill the intersecting hole from scrap material you'll have after cutting the profiles.  I wouldn't attempt to drill free hand.

Dear Lord, this is going to be messy.

I was planning on drilling free hand, but if you could let me know how to make a dowling jig I'd be grateful - you are very helpful Jeffrey, thanks.

I plan on fetching the wood this afternoon, so things are moving, slowly!

OK - I just got the wood but realised I got 3 sheets of 18mm and 2 sheets of 12mm. For some reason I thought the nose sections were 18mm too - seems I got to much 18mm and not enough 12mm. This is exactly what I expected from myself - turning the quiet simple into one massive balls-up. OK, so if I use 18mm for the nose sections, it will cock up the fitting of it correctly wont it?

What about if I make the quadrants from 18mm as well, and increase the seat base and back size width by 12mm?? That would work wouldn't it?

I'll have look over my Mk2 to fully understand the impact using 18mm for the nose.

My first thought is to just shave 6mm off the outside each edge of the heal platform and heal plate.  The Cap Nut/~25mm HD bolt might need a couple small washers/spacer added since the Cap Nut is 17mm and the nose is now 18mm stock... I'm thinking it would be a heck of a lot easier to pickup another sheet of 12mm, then I won't have to pop any asprin this evening.

Nah, it's just like any other project you do in life, broken down into it's individual task there is nothing particularly difficult.  If you try and do to much at once, jump to the next step before completing the previous, then it's bound to be a challenge.  Take your time, read and re-read the instructions, enjoy the process, don't hurry to finish.

As for the nose section, your asking for additional complications by trying to utilize the 18mm.  Swap it for the 12mm.

Before I go on holiday, I must tell you I spent all day yesterday building a Microsim Racebase smile

I have it built and it is ready to use! I need to paint it though. I'll post some pictures and let you all know what I did to it, as I did make small changes and Jeffrey, like a prat I made the nose from 18mm and adjusted things. I got away with it. I will also make a new wheel platform with a larger back so my 22" monitor sits on it - which it squeezes on now, but one big wobble and it's off.

I'm amazed I did it, and will now fine tune it to be as comfortable as possible, and sort some seat and heel padding.

It's strange using it after so long desktop driving!

Thanks to Jeffrey big time, and as soon as I'm back from my holidays I'll get some pictures up smile

And we never seen him again from his holiday

Wow! Late as ever...But this week I restarted this project. My RaceBase will now be used....

I've screwed in the pedals, wheel and made an attachment for the shifter which is now screwed into place.

Next is to paint it, clamp a monitor arm to the back of the wheel base and I'm happy.

I plan on going down the HD projector route eventually.

I'll post pics when she is painted up..

Sorry to post in an old thread smile
