Everyone, get your racing shoes out and start tuning your setups because the 2010 Formula 1 season is about to start and this means, so are the 2010 TWIP Time Trials!
Read the information in the TWIP Time Trials section on the forum and start lapping! Not much time because the first race, which also means the deadline for the first round of time trials, is next week, May 14th as the first F1 race of the new season starts.
Everyone feel free to put in a laptime either very fast, not so fast or something in between. Everyone needs someone to race against and there's points for positions 1 through 10.
We will be counting points again all season long and use the 2010 F1 points system (25,18,15,12,10,8,6,4,2,1) which means better chances for people who can't/don't partake in every race!
Right now all the points are up for grabs since the timing table is completely empty! So once again gentleman, start your engines!!

This week The Way I Play.com has been featured on
the popular simracing internet tv show, Inside Simracing, aka SimRacing
Tonight.
Check out their show at www.insidesimracing.tv if you
haven't seen it yet , it's full of interesting stuff for simracers of
all kinds.
The episode that mentions TWIP is episode 41. The latest episode at the time of writing.
Many thanks to Darin Gangi and Shaun Cole at SRT for the shoutout!

Since quite a few of us are Formula 1 enthusiasts, a TWIP Time Trial season will be held during the entire F1 season of 2009. Read all about it in the forum and join in on the fun. Put your racing rigs to good use! We will do a test run with the upcoming season finale in Interlagos Brazil. Join in if you can't wait til March 2009 to show us what you've got.

A new board has been added, as per request, where people can let their
imaginations go wild and tell us what they would really want.
Your fancies do not have to fall within the realm of possibilities
so anything is possible! This board is a child board of the 'The Way I
Play' board.
And another new board has been added as well. Here you can trade used hardware. Put up ads if you have stuff lying around that you would like to sell.
People wanting to get into the business but not wanting to spend too much money right away might find good deals here. Keep in mind though that TWIP
is an international site, so please list your whereabouts when putting up an ad. TWIP bears no responsibility whatsoever concerning any transactions that take place.

A whole bunch of readymade racing seats (about
30 of em) have been added to our hardware database. Thanks go out to
Technique from the RSC forums, who provided me with an excellent list
of racing simulators available. Thank you very much for that great tip!
Have a look in the Racing Seats section everyone, there are
pictures in all the topics. Please add your experiences with the
products if you own them, thank you!

The forum category icons have been given a little facelift. I hope you like the new look!

I have decided to start adding small newsarticles here. Just small updates about what is going on on the site and perhaps some messages that I would like to bring across to everyone here.
So our first news is that we have a news section! I don't know how many of the regular visitors actually go through the homepage when visiting TWIP but perhaps this will give them an extra reason to.
Other stuff that has happened recently:
-New members have been steadily joining up, bringing our latest total up to 275 TWIPPERS now! Thank you everyone!

-We have begun to make a complete database of all the external hardware
out there. Joysticks, wheels, other stuff. Check it out and add your
personal experiences to the topics.
-We have updated the smiley set. Our unique smileys, all made by Byron from Simjunkies, have been supplemented with a number of cool new ones.

-We have made a new board inside the The Way I Play Section called: 'The Drawing Board'. You can put up building plans of all your stuff in here if you want to share it with others. I put my plans in!
-As suggested by Niall, one of our mods, we have added a 'Rig Button' to everyone who has a rig on display here on TWIP. It will show under people's name in their posts, right above their avatars. When you click it you will be taken to that person's topic about his rig/setup/whatever you wanna call it. This way it will be easier to see the way the person plays that you are talking to in the forums. Thank you Niall for this great suggestion and thank you Byron and Marcus from Simjunkies for the technical assistance in getting it done.
